Although the event is seven months away, there has been a surge
in interest in recent weeks. True, the exhibition prospectus has hit
desks, but it's the response from past exhibitors that has been
most heartening. There is a sense of anticipation and beneath the

In an industry heavily reliant on technology and innovation, there
is a need for Smart Expo to be at the forefront of change and
present its visitors with a comprehensive insight into the latest
hardware and software which will improve efficiency, quality and
effectiveness of supply operations.
By holding Smart Expo every two years, it provides exhibitors
a forum to demonstrate improved solutions to challenges,
whether it is in technology, management systems, procurement,

SO WHAT'S DIFFERENT ABOUT SMART
EXPO IN 2015?
Since 1993 Smart has always been held in Sydney. The closure
of the Sydney Convention Centre for three years presents an
opportunity for Smart to be held in a new venue for the first time.
The Smart Board has decided to move the event to Melbourne in
2015. Smart will be held alongside National Manufacturing Week
(NMW) on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th May, 2015 at the
Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
A co-location with National Manufacturing Week will deliver
an increased ratio of high level decision makers to SMART
expo, including engineers, directors, CEOs, GMs, owners,
representatives from Government, Defence and the resources
sector. In turn, this will provide Smart Expo visitors new
networking opportunities as well as over 200 quality exhibitors.
"There are synergies between Smart and NMW which will provide
real benefits to both delegates and visitors" said Simon Cooper
Managing Director of Interpoint Events.
Also at Smart Expo for the first time will be new business
lounges on the show floor, facilitating business networking and
making connections. Visitors can also organise meetings with key
clients and business partners on the expo floor.
