Brett Stewart said the venture has led to
mutual success with both the generation of
Crown equipment sales and Crown Warehouse
Solutions as its own entity.
"To date, Crown Warehouse Solutions has
completed well over 1,800 projects around the
nation, ranging in value from $50 to millions,"
Mr Stewart said.
"To assess the impact our business unit has
had on Crown's total customer count, you can
look at the number of customers who had never
dealt with Crown until we introduced CWS --
that number is now well above 300.
Mr Stewart said that Warehouse Solutions

"Many of our sales people are now industry
experts, not just in material handling equipment
but also in fitting out complete warehouses to
suit the needs of a range of operations.
"They're able to offer our customers
integrated racking and shelving designs that
optimise the functionality of our lift trucks while
helping customers make the most of the space
available to them.
"This places Crown in a unique part of the
material handling market.
"Crown Warehouse Solutions is Australia's only
specialist racking and shelving company with
experience beyond the physical storage fit-out.
"We understand the specific business
requirements when it comes to operational
efficiencies. We understand the environment
in which your employees have to work, the
equipment they work with, and how the whole
operation has to work cohesively."

Insite, which is both the name of Crown's suite
of fleet management technologies as well as the
band of experts supporting customers who use
it, has therefore become vital to the company
since it took market leadership with its company

Crown has been providing forklift connectivity

Its original Insite department was founded in
the United States specifically to manage the
effectiveness of these products while providing

Development Greg Facer said strong demand
has since led to steady growth of the department,
which now supports 10,000 InfoLink-equipped
forklifts across the Pacific Rim.
"These 10,000 InfoLink-connected lift trucks
provide real-time data on the mechanical

"Putting it simply, the technologies from Insite
are all about making sure operators and lift
trucks truly work together.
"Being able to offer this technology is another
way that Crown can help deliver genuine
productivity improvements and cost reductions.
It helps us avoid the trap of being just another
company that wins customers only through the
transactional procurement approach."
Crown helps its customers take advantage
of insights gained through the use of InfoLink
by providing in-depth business reviews to
assist decision making on fleet optimisation.
The information is also used by fleet managers
to help modify operator behaviour, to reduce
equipment damage and overall operator costs.
